ABOUT US

Behind the Masks
I'm a simple small town girl from PA, who loves the city, music, animals, art, crafts, and just about everything to do with the furry fandom. I'm married and currently live in California with my husband. I'm also that adorable little black and blue fluff ball you see in the pictures drawn above and below, and the suit known as "Kymah". Come to think of it, you can find me just about anywhere on the internet named Kymah or Kymahwolf. I draw as well as make fursuits, and what you see here are just a few of the examples of work I've done.

What we do
We strive to make custom and high quality fursuits of your characters at affordable prices. We take pride in helping you bring your imagination to life! We make everything from hand paws to full suits, but we are still learning, and have much to try, so bare with us as we update and expand our gallery and what we have to offer! We look forward to working with you and helping you bring your characters to life!
Where we began
We began first building fursuits in the summer of 2011. Since then, we've built many suits and their parts, and have been growing every day. My name is Rachel and I'm Married, currently living in San Diego, CA. My husband enjoys the fursuits and loves seeing me create them, but it's just me behind the needle and thread. I've not been making fursuits full time, I work on commissions in between school or work. I plan on continuing commissions for fursuits and further develop my skills as an artist for many years to come!
Although we have been making suits for a few years now, we are still learning and growing as we go. We hope to further our experience and knowledge to expand our abilities. We may not feel comfortable working on certain species or using special features such as muscle padding ect. We've kept it simple so far, however, we can't wait to try new things! Don't be afraid to ask what I'm able to do. I'm friendly and don't bite.
Why the name "Little Wanderers"?
Well, it's kind of a cute and sad little story. You see, we weren't always called Little Wanderers. Our previous name had my fursonas name in it, Kymah and Nira Productions. It was me, and my best friends names, we hoped to work together for the many years to come. But in the spring of 2016, when i got engaged, things got a little difficult between us, and we ended the friendship, and so ended the partnership and name of our fursuit making business. I was sad to see it go, but it opened up a whole new door of opportunity for me! We've since rekindled our friendship, but the name Little Wanderers is hear to stay!
Coming up with a new name wasn't easy, and I can't take all the credit! One day while i was listening to the song "Little Wanderer" by Death Cab for Cutie, i started to think about all the things i've done to get where i was and not just in my life but with fursuit making and the furry fandom as a whole. I've been through a lot in the past, and even in the present. And most importantly, the song particularly reminds me of my husband and I's relationship. Him being in the Navy, we are almost always apart, but we end up traveling and meeting somewhere in the middle. When we traveled to San Diego together, and got engaged, i knew i was about to start a new chapter in my life and it'll lead me wandering around and seeing new things. And this idea connected with fursuiting and crafting.
We'll be growing and moving, and my love for adventure will surely bring me to new places and meet new people that will help me further develop in the skills I'll use in creating fursuits and art alike. It only felt right to name our business after what means the most to us in and out of the fandom. Adventure, and if we're lucky, discovery!
So welcome to Little Wanderers Fursuits! We hope you join us in our family of creativity in bringing your characters to life, and may you have amazing journeys along the way.
